Merry Christmas Saints!
This week we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Last week Deacon Lewis walked us through the birth of Jesus and the wise men coming from great distances, all over the world to bring gifts to their new king. Following the star, the men found Jesus laying in a manger, there they stopped to worship Him. I hope that you all were able to experience Monday's phenomenon, Jesus' star (conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn). Even on the darkest day, in one of the darkest years, God reminds us that His promises are great and he is with us.
Following Sunday school, Pastor Beard spoke on The Word of God is Precious. He loves His Word and it is Precious in His Sight, coming out of John 1.
John 1: 4-5: "In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. That light shines in the darkness, and yet the darkness did not overcome it."

"Same time, same place. Next Sunday,
bring a friend!"

This week, I want to begin introducing some of the members of Mt. Zion!

Meet Bro. Wayne Ballou.

Bro. Ballou has been the Sunday School Superintendent and Church Treasurer, and has also been serving the Pendleton Community at the Convention Center for many years. In his free time enjoys hunting, fishing, and watching the Dallas Cowboys. We look forward to his greetings every Sunday, and are so thankful to have him at the heart of Mt. Zion.
