Last Sunday Pastor Beard, brought the lesson, on Confession and Correction from Ezra 10: 1-12. What I love about this lesson is that in his anguish, Ezra called out to God and begged for Him to hear his prayers. He knew that the people had fallen short and he was not ashamed to present himself to God. Sometimes, we have to separate ourselves from those who are falling short of the Kingdom of God so that we can rise above.

The key verse was Ezrah 9:6;

And said, O my God, I am ashamed and blush to lift up my face to thee, my God: For our Iniquities are increased over our head, and our trespass is grown up unto the heavens.

In our 11:00 sermon, Minister Lewis brought a lesson on What SHALL We Say? from Ezra 9:5-10.  The key point was that us as Christians should be more thoughtful in our speech as we are called to be representatives to got here on earth. We shall speak according to His Will and not our own.
