I hope that Sunday brought a blessed day of remembering and celebrating Mothers!
Pastor Beard brought the Sunday School lesson on Empty Rituals Are Useless from Isaiah 29:13-24.
Minister Lewis brought the message on Mother's Day on the Tale of Two Harlots from 1 Kings 3:16-26. The key points were:
1) Just as the prostitute with the living son pleased her case before the righteous king to save her son's life, we can also pray before the eternal righteous king for the salvation of others and us. HE will hear our case.
2) All the great things that Samuel was able to accomplish started with the fervent prayer of his mother Hannah. There is nothing like the prayer of a woman.
Congratulations to Bro. Chris for purchasing his first home at age 21! We are so proud of all that you are accomplishing!
