Happy May Everyone!

I just want to start by thanking you all for joining, and sticking with us as we work to re-open and continue to fellowship together. To the few that gather in the House, and those that join online, we LOVE getting to worship and share together every Sunday!

Minister Lewis lead us through a great lesson on Sunday starting our new monthly unit on "Courageous Prophets Of Change". This week we began with Speaking Truth Boldly out of 1 Kings 22:15-23, 26-28, and the story of Micaiah speaking of a message that he had received from the Lord that was unfavorable to King Ahab. Micaiah was bold enough to stand firm in the message that the Lord had given him, and that is exactly what we are called to do. Sometimes, the message we are given is not sweet and is not easily received, BUT we know that if we are bold like Micaiah, we will be rewarded for our obedience. 

Pastor Beard followed with a sermon "Father Forgive Them, For They Know Not What They Do" out of Luke 23:33-34. 

And when they had come to the place called Calvary, there they crucified Him, and the criminals, one on the right hand and the other on the left. Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” And they divided His garments and cast lots.

 

Join us Sunday at 9:45 for our Mother's Day service as Pastor Beard teaches the Sunday School class more about the Prophet Isaiah, and Minister Lewis brings the sermon.
