WOW! I cannot believe this year is almost 1/2 way over already! I hope that in the chaos, the Lord is blessing you through it all.
Minister Lewis taught the Sunday School lesson on No Worries, from Matthew 6:25-34. This is such a great reminder lesson that God is in TOTAL CONTROL and we need not to worry. In our lesson, the story references money, but we know in this life that there are SO many more things to worry about than just monetary values. We encounter trials every single day and it is crucial that we remember that the battle is already won. Tomorrow is going to have troubles, trials, and tribulations, but our job is to give those to the Lord so that HE can fight them for us. Minister Lewis defined the difference between worry vs. concern as worry paralyzing you, but concern puts us into action. Let us use those concerns to take a step forward on our path. It should give us a piece of mind knowing that we were created for a purpose and a calling. Our job is to fulfill that purpose, not worry about the challenges of what the next day might bring. #NoWorries
Following Sunday School, Pastor Beard brought a lesson on "We Were Created for a Purpose" from Genesis 2:20-25. He noted that Adam was placed in control because he was made in His image, and when we line up with God's will, all earthly desires will pass away.
