I hope that this week is treating everyone well so far!

Minister Lewis brought us a wonderful lesson in Sunday school about the importance of our Faith and the power of Jesus. We were blessed with two amazing examples of how faith can heal in Matthew 9:18-26. First, we meet the leader of the synagogue who came to Jesus saying "My daughter has just died, but you can bring her back to life if you just come and lay your hand on her." When Jesus was on his way to heal the leaders daughter, we meet our second example of the woman who was bleeding for 12 years. She thought if only I could touch this robe, I can be healed. Jesus turned around to her and said "Daughter, be encouraged! Your FAITH has made you well." Then he went off to the officials home and brought his daughter back to life. Isn't it amazing how our faith can move mountains? 

Then, Pastor Beard brought on a sermon about the heart of a man. He explained to us that "The heart of a man is too great to be wasted in Hell." As Christians, we need to ask ourselves "Where is our heart? Is it set on the Lord? Are we working every day to be closer to our heavenly Father and building our relationship with him?" The Lord always knows whats on our hearts before we call on him and if we call on him, he will always carry us through. Our hearts need to stay focused on him always, he loves us so much!
